Plant Manager

Position Summary:

The Plant Manger will manage all facets of the unit; focusing on the basic objective of maximizing profit, controlling and minimizing costs, and meeting forecasted budgets. This position has overall responsibility for all departments of the plant, coordinates activities and motivates all employees toward meeting all aspects of the Mission Statement of the organization to satisfy the customer.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Providing a safe, clean and healthy environment for all employees to work in.
  2. Responsible for all individual departmental performance to assure top management contribution toward budgeted profit levels and minimization of inventory levels.
  3. Analyze CIS measureables and develop action plans when necessary to assure continuous improvements towards reaching established goals.
  4. Prepare budgets, analyze burden study, and develop cost saving measures.
  5. Provide policy decision on all plant level questions.
  6. Develop good employee relations with both the union and salaried employees
  7. Promote plant capabilities toward increasing sales and plant growth, utilizing APQP and project management techniques and focusing on the goal of becoming a world class supplier.
  8. Represent the company in community relations and activities.
  9. Responsibility and authority to give direction and to make the final deposition on any concern relating to quality of products or processes. This person will establish a cross-functional audit team to review quality systems for conformance to customer requirements.

Staff Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  1. The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in facilitating and organizing the month end close process. He/she will share the responsibility of verifying the generation of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required, in addition to the General Accounting Operation of three business units. This will include but not limited to journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and financial statements.
  2. Provide analysis data to aid in understanding and correcting variances between actual and budget.
  3. Prepare the weekly Flash report for forecasting Sales, Orders, Operating Income, and Cash Flows.
  4. Assist in the preparation of Business Plan, Budget, Operating Plan, Strategic Plan, and Forecasted Financial statements including Cash Flow Analysis.
  5. Assist in the preparation, documentation and maintenance of internal procedures as required by Sarbanes Oxley. Assist in audits, roll forward testing, update signing authority charts, and create the process to ensure SOA compliance is up to date at all times.
  6. Issue necessary statistics for all Department of Commerce Reports, California Environmental Reports, and completes Statistics and Reports for other Federal and State requirements. Sales and Use tax reporting for multi states. Complete internal income tax packages for use by ITT in preparation of annual tax returns.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting
  • Two to four years experience in a manufacturing accounting environment preferred
  • Working experience in Microsoft Excel
  • SOX experience preferred

Strategic Supply Chain Specialist

Position Summary:

The Strategic Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for examining, evaluating and determining all aspects of total cost reduction opportunities for the procurement of our products and services, including sourcing in low cost regions.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Identification and implementation of cost reduction projects and activities.
  2. Selection of suppliers and negotiation of supply agreements. Perform cost/benefit financial and make/buy analyses to recommend sourcing decisions.        
  3. Along with SQE, serves as a primary evaluator of potential new suppliers
  4. Developing and overseeing supplier transition plans (startup, exit) as needed
  5. Performs supplier assessments, audits and evaluations as required.
  6. Establishes ongoing relationships with key suppliers, educates suppliers on cost, quality and delivery improvement techniques.
  7. Interface with product management and engineering during product design and introductions involving purchased materials, tooling and services.       
  8. Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual scorecard reporting and planning.
  9. Provide materials management expertise during supplier or internal site visits as required and performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Four to eight years direct previous national and low cost region procurement experience, in a multi-site, commodity focused sourcing role.
  • Outstanding negotiation, price/cost analysis and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Consistently exhibits a positive, "can-do" attitude, even in the face of obstacles.

Product Manager – Flexible Impeller Pumps

Position Summary:

The Product Manager – FIP is responsible for the profitable growth of Flexible Impeller Pumps and growth of the Industrial and Marine market. The Product Manager will champion products through the ITT Value Based Product Development {VBPD} and Value Based Management {VBM} process.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Provide application eng. Assistance to both sales force and customers and propose solutions to technical problems.
  2. Provide customers and the sales force with product development and application support.
  3. Provide technical training on products to all personnel involved, including the sales force, reps, and ITT employees.
  4. Provide assistance with technical communications.
  5. Develop/maintain a Product Roadmap, product strategy, and implementation plan for each major product.
  6. Provide pricing identification and support to field sales and key customers.
  7. Identify, communicate, and provide information on WW market trends and competitive activity.
  8. Recommend and document new product opportunities.
  9. Champion new products through the ITT VBPD process, including opportunity prioritization.
  10. Conduct annual pricing and product rationalization activities.

Quality Manager

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager will direct and guide the Gloucester plant and activities on issues dealing with Quality Assurance policies, systems and procedures.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Quality Systems/Programs – Improve and overhaul quality system in the Gloucester facility to ensure M&L quality performance, both internally and with the customer meets the expectation.
  2. Plant Contact – Direct report to Site Manager. Communicate with plant management to assure understanding and compliance with internal and customer quality requirements. Have direct line responsibility for managing quality personnel at the Gloucester facility. Set QA Compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.
  3. Customer Contact – Act as the key point of contact for Gloucester customers, resolving problems and proactively seeking VOC for input into improvement priorities.
  4. Continuous Improvement – Implement continuous improvement of product, quality and processes.
  5. Planning – Develop M&L quality policy and goals to support the overall strategic plan of ITT M&L. Ensure metrics are in place in the quality function to support overall key business metrics and goal deployment process. Oversee QA tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluation and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
  6. Administration – Internal communication, reports, meetings, budget and personnel concerns. Bring staff of different disciplines together and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree upon comprehensive quality procedures.
  7. Oversee and manage compliance to registration requirements of ISO 9001. Liaison with customers; auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Operations related discipline
  • 10 years experience in Quality preferably with some experience in the automotive industry.

ITT Flow Control is seeking a Sr. Drafter who will has experience working in a manufacturing environment preparing engineering drawing using Pro/Engineer software for the layouts of new and existing products and packages.

 

Basic Functions

  1. Generate complete drawing packages for new/existing products.
  2. Make changes as required by ECOs.
  3. Generate drawings form sketches and verbal instructions form engineers.
  4. Lend engineering related assistance to those outside the department.
  5. Lend clerical assistance.
  6. Check and approve drawings, lab reports, and B.O.M.
  7. Maintain equipment, both personal and company supplied.
 

Requirements

  • Associates degree with 2+ years of related experience or 5+ years of previous drafting experience in a related field.

  • Working knowledge of drafting procedures and practices.
  • Ability to produce models and drawings using Pro-E.
  • Experience with modeling and drawing of permanent magnet motors, molded, cast and stamped components preferred.

Position Summary:

The Sr. Project Engineer will create new product designs from commercial specification and communicate design information to support personnel so that new products can be implemented into production. This position will be participating in a multi-functional team based environment to develop cutting edge new product designs for the Beverage industry. Ability to improve existing products is also required. Proficiency in centrifugal and/or positive displacement pump design, value design, plastic and metal component design, and an in depth knowledge of fluid concepts and plastics materials are required. The candidate should possess the creativity to overcome design issues, create value for the customer, and push the product design envelope beyond product technology.

 

Basic Functions

  1. Perform work in research, development, design, testing, analysis and construction of Electro Mechanical engineering devices, problems, prototypes, etc.
  2. Provide project management leadership on the projects assigned for the stage-gate process.
  3. Modify existing product design for various Beverage, RV/Marine and Industrial/ Agricultural products.
  4. Responsible for checking and approving the complete project, including drawings for accuracy and proper function before release.
  5. Technically directs the work of other Engineers, Designers, supervises Lab Technicians engaged in the assigned project.
  6. Check and approve drawings, lab reports, and B.O.M.
  7. Liaison with other engineering units and other departments concerning engineering specifications, testing and other information surrounding a product or project.
  8. Perform assistance tasks for Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality Control and other departments as assigned, to provide engineering support of product problems, cost reductions, product evaluations, testing, etc.
  9. Use personal computer for engineering calculations, CAD designs, drawings (Pro-Engineer-Wildfire II- Pro-Intra link, Windchill) CAE tools (FEA, etc) and MS Office suite of products.
 

Requirements

  • BSME or BSEE degree with 8 years engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 4000 hours of Pro-Engineer experience
  • Requires minimum 5 years plastic component design experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in related New Product Design & Development.
  • Requires sound engineering knowledge at the professional level as well as extensive knowledge of engineering policy, company capabilities and methodologies, facilities and products.
  • Must have design experience with pumps, electric motors, and other electro mechanical products.
